Pin type porcelain insulators are used in overhead power lines or poles lines or telegraph lines. ANSI 55-2 ceramic pin insulator is manufactured and designed in accordance with ANSI specifications playing a role of supporting and insulating..
ANSI 55-2 ceramic pin insulator/pin type porcelain insulators formation:
Pin insulator has two types of thread, one is only shaped by porcelain, and this type of insulator will be fitted with lead head spindle. ANSI standard requires like this.
Another thread type is cement a zinc sleeve on the pin inner hole, and this types of insulator will be fitted with steel head spindle. This spindle is according to BS 3288, and has small steel head and large steel head.
Pin type porcelain insulators are produced in single piece up to 1080mm and can be used on power lines in the voltage range 1kv to 36KV. Ceramic pin insulators are subjected to compression, cantilever and torsional loads during service.

ANSI 55-2 Ceramic pin insulator:
Porcelain pin type insulator is available for distribution lines and contamination level. Orient Power improves the ANSI 55-2 ceramic pin insulator mechanical strength and high reliability through accumulated technology. ANSI 55-2 ceramic pin insulators have excellent long-term performance. Pin type porcelain insulators are noramlly glazed and coated RTV silicone rubber coatings to improve the performance.
