Dead end clamp overhead line is also called strain clamp. it often used in the ending of conductor to fix the conductor and withstand the tension of the conductor. Dead end clamp overhead line will perform the function to connect the conductor to the insulator tension string or tower fittings.
The material is iron or steel, aluminum alloy.
According to structure and installation condition, Dead end clamp can be divided into two types:
◆ Bolted dead end clamp
◆ compression dead end clamp
According to the purpose, dead end clamp overhead line can be divided into:
◆ cable dead end clamp
◆ conductor dead end clamp
Bolted dead end clamp is supposed to withstand the full tension of the conductor or earth wire, and its grip strength should be not less than 90% of the conductor or earth wire, but bolted dead end clamp won’t be as a conductor. This kind of dead end clamp for electrical power fitting can be removed after installed.
Compression dead end clamp should be not only withstand the tension of the conductor or ground wire, but should also perform as the conductor, so the compression strain clamp can’t be dismantled after installed
Dead end clamp overhead line also has some characteristics, such as:

◆ simple installation, ease to construction. Can greatly shorten the construction time, without any special tools, one person can complete the operation.
◆ simple inspection.one person can test by naked eye.
◆ good corrosion resistance, high-quality materials. the wire and the clam use the same material, ensure the strong resistance to electrochemical corrosion.
